Beginning of all Things

Dates:       The Beginning of all things to the Time of Clay (see Titan's Timeline)

Description:

This term is variously ascribed to the creation of the Gods, to the beginning of the Universe and indeed to the formation of Titan.

Different peoples have varying beliefs which are often conflicting in their retelling. Most races believe that Titan itself was created by the Gods of the Celestial Court. However, before the Time of Clay and the creation of Titan, their remains the question of the origin of the Gods. This has found less consensus among the religious orders, and some would argue that only the gods themselves know. However, the ancient belief in the three primal beings known as Ashra, Elim and Vuh has gained much favour again. Historical records show that the belief in these beings was somehow suppressed in the last two thousand years, although some continued to worship them in isolated communities. Interestingly, where they are worshipped, this is not apart from the gods of the Celestial Court. Rather, they are believed to have been the creators of this younger order of gods. Their names roughly translate as Light, Dark and Life, and from these three elements all other things sprout. It is believed that these three existed before the universe, and created all within it, including the gods and then the material with which the gods could fashion Titan. Further still, others maintain that these three created other worlds and gods, such as Orb and Amarillia.

Beyond this is another belief, still held deeply by the peoples of the Isles of the Dawn in a god who has always been: Arn, the First. This God is supreme, above all others. To some, it was Arn who created the universe. To others, Arn created the gods, who created the universe at Arn's command. Some say that Arn is everything, the universe and all that lies beyond it.
