The lands that lie to the west of the Cloudhigh Mountains, south of the River Swordflow as far as Lake Mlubz in the south. The River Dagger running down from the Swordflow forms the western boundary in the north of the land, and the Swathe of Vlax continues the Eastern bounds down at a south easterly direction to the Steppes. Transoxalia is not ruled over by any one people but the principle city is Neuberg in the north, which has repelled southern invasions on more than one occasion. The land of Transoxalia is also home to the great Goblin Forest Kingdom and a large Realm of the Wood Elves. The limits of human habitation were once marked by the Klein Spur of the Cloudhigh Mountains, but mining in the foothills to the south of that spur has caused further human incursion southwards. The Margrave of Kleinkastel declared most of the forest as part of his demesne to restore law and order after crime from bandits and rogues increased during the initial gold rush. Despite the roaming foot soldiers in the hills, whose job it is to deal out justice and mining licences, the forest remains wild and untamed.
