This is merely a geographical definition not a political one. For the purposes of both this Encyclopaedia of Khul and its sister volume The Atlas of Khul, the area is defined as the north west corner of Khul. Limited by oceans to the north and west, by the vast Mountains of the Giants for most of the east and it stretches as far south as the great city of Ximoran. It is perhaps the most settled area of Khul yet as the book ‘Titan’, that most famous of adventurers’ literary companions, says:

"The whole area. . . has been under the rule of a body known as the Council of Seven. . "". . it does provide a unified focus for the whole area, whose people would probably hide inside the walls of each town and city without it. "Titan, 284AC, The Year of the Fox.

The 3rd century AC tales, referred to collectively as ‘Fighting Fantasy’, that concentrated on this area were: 'FF8: Scorpion Swamp'; and 'Titan', although others played their part.
