Description:
This is merely a geographical definition not a political one.
For the purposes of both this Encyclopaedia of Khul and its sister volume The Atlas of Khul, the area stretches as far as the Kings Highway in the west.
It also reaches to the Wastes of Chaos in the south and to the edges of the Battlegrounds and the Pikestaff Plain in the east.
The area is one of contrasts with still fertile Shantak Cradle flanking the parched Deadlands.
The memories of the majesty of Kabesh seem all but gone yet its ghosts still haunt this region in more ways than one.
The book ‘Titan’, that most famous of adventurers’ literary companions, contrasts the present with the majestic past when it muses upon:
“.
.
the crumbling ruins of the decimated city of Kabesh.
Once the capital of the whole of northern Khul.
.
.
" Titan, 284AC, The Year of the Fox.

The 3rd century AC tales, referred to collectively as ‘Fighting Fantasy’, that concentrated on this area were: 'FF41: Master of Chaos'; and 'Titan', although others played their part.
