The great range of mountains in central Khul that in the great days of the realm of Kabesh were the source of the great Orc, Goblin and Troll armies of the Great War against Evil. For centuries this had been where they had bred, and all over Khul they had been nibbling at the edge of civilisation. Aided by necromancers who had learnt their trade in Allansia and from those who had been to Allansia where sorcery was in the ascendancy, the inhuman races gathered resources in these mountains, ignored by the Khan and his people. The northern reaches of these mountains and their foothills were also the home of the ancestors of the peoples of Neuberg.
