Lord Mortis of Balthor is known as the Lich Lord. His place here among the names of gods and demigods is due to the strong belief that Lord Mortis was the first "High Priest" of Death among those humans subverted before the First Battle. This is the reason he has been spared by Death. Certainly his name has featured on a number of occasions throughout Titan’s history.

It is believed that along with other prominent humans subverted by Evil, such as Voivod, Mortis was raised to almost demigod status by Death and served him during the First Battle.
