Description:
In 265 AC, Llarmans Segoth was supposedly born. Llarmans Segoth is a name synonymous with great deeds and heroic adventure. However, Llarmans is an invention of Old World literature, for although the deeds are real, the singular hero is not. Supposedly this Khulian hero performed many of the great feats of Khul's second great time of heroes, the later part of the third century AC. Some say that Llarmans was one of the Select of Kazan, and that it was he who defeated Chingiz. Others that it was Llarmans who finally defeated Lord Mortis on Stayng Island. The list of his feats is incredible: The hero of Helm Hill, the cartographer of the Great Scorpion Swamp and The destroyer of the Portal of Evil. Also, the vanquisher of the Khaz priesthood; The Chosen of the Wazarri and relighter of the Fangs of Fury; King of Gorak; Ruler of Kazan; Commander of the Zammarran armies; saviour of an alien world, Orb; Trustee of the Aleph. However, these feats are only attributed to him outside of Khul. For these heroic deeds were accomplished by many heroes. The root of the misperception comes from the mistranslation of an ancient Klarashian phrase, Llar' Mans Egoreth, meaning Doer of Great Deeds, or Great Hero. This term continues to be used in a number of variations throughout Khul where the great heroes of stories may be referred to in such a way. Allansian and Old World scholars on hearing these great stories misconstrued the phrase thinking it the name of the hero, or perhaps conveniently using it as the name, to construct great works of literature, lasting many volumes. Hence we have the epic poems of Segoth. In Khul no such character is referred to.
