A former miner who became aware of the effects of the Portal of Evil and the imminence of the potential invasion of its army quite quickly. He went on to gather his people from the villages in the foothills of the Cloudhigh Mountains to make their escape. His camp was to the southeast of Kleinkastel in forest. Gartax’s people suffered many casualties before the Portal was destroyed, but went on to found a town to the south of Kleinkastel, becoming an important trading post, with Gartax as their leader.
