In some lands `Ice Dragon’ refers exclusively to the mighty White Dragon, and in its strictest sense this is correct. The connection is clear and the description makes sense because the White Dragon is an ice-breathing dragon. This is the case in north-eastern Khul for example. In essence, however, this term can also apply to all those of the dragon family which breathe ice. Of the senior races this does not, therefore, include the Silver Dragons but does include the White Dragons. It also includes the lesser dragons (drakes) with this ability, all of whom are derived, in whole or in part, from White Dragons. The Xiau, for instance, are part of the Ice Dragon group, despite having connections with the Silver, because they are also related to the White.
