An ancient city on the Coast of Sharks at the northern end of the King's Highway. One of the Council of Seven. The name Djiretta is the unchanged name of a city that once sat on a river of Irritaria, in a region to the east of Taralak. The river formed the southern point of the fault line where the continents were split apart. It is thought that Djiretta was named with the same tongue of the people who populated the forgotten city of Djarata in southern Allansia. It may well have been an outpost of the empire of which Djarata was the capital city.
