These are the wondrous caves beneath the Long Hills through which the why the river Hiang-Kiang flows westward. They are so named due to the crystalline formations within them which when exposed to a light source emit a wondrous array of coloured light emulating many thousands of jewels. The fragrance within the caves is thought to be due to the small lichens which grow within and which themselves augment the light display.
