Description:
One of the great ports of the Ximoran protectorate and a member of the Council of Seven. It sits at the mouth of the Catsblood River. Buruna sits on the site of an ancient city which was once located on the southern border of Taralak. Buruna was the city from which Klarash Silverhair came. It was the capital of Klarash in that nation's infancy. As Klarash grew, and expanded eastward the decision was made to move to the capital to the centre of the kingdom in 1601 and the building of Shakista began. Buruna maintained a high status, however, and its rulers were Princes of the royal house. The 1877OT Treaty of Seven gave the rulers of the city the right to call themselves Kings of Buruna as a concession given that the treaty eroded somewhat Buruna's influence over Shakista. In 199 AC the famous King Lowa Ashfell of Buruna was born. Buruna continues to be a highly religious city.
