A province of northern Allansia dominated by Fang, a city of no small wealth ruled over by a powerful Baron. Despite its wealth of history, its natural wonders and its famous horses, Chiang-Mai is best known for the infamous Deathtrap Dungeon on the outskirts of its chief city.

This entry does not seek to illuminate the details of Chiang-Mai too deeply because this is after all the Encyclopaedia of Khul and Chiang-Mai is within the realms of Allansia. However, it is listed as an entry because it is touched upon by a number of Khulian works and for the sake of completeness a brief account is necessary. Although the entry suggests that FF8 makes explicit reference to Fang, this is perhaps an exaggeration. The reference is only an inferred one, because FF8 refers to a number of things within Chiang-Mai.
